Tuition
1. Tuition and Other Costs:
A. Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $4,800.00 for the first student, and $4600.00 for each additional student. A $200 per student registration fee is due at the time of registration and is applied towards tuition. The registration fee is non-refundable after the 1st day of school. New families will receive an $1000.00 discount. Freshmen will receive an additioan $500.00 discount.
B. The balance of tuition is to be paid in one of three ways:
1. Full payment due on or before September 1, 2010. With a 2% discount.
2. Two (2) equal payments due on September 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011. With a 1% discount per payment.
3. Ten (10) equal monthly payments, the first is due September 1, 2010 and the last is due June 1, 2011.
C. The cost of all textbooks will be in addition to the tuition for the 2010-2011 school year.
D. Tuition is due on the first of each month payable to the treasurer:
EMCHS
Attn: Treasurer
518 - 118th Avenue
Martin, MI 49070
E. Any monthly commitment not paid within the month will have a $15.00 late fee added.
F. The treasurer will send out past due statements on the first of the month immediately following the missed payment notifying parents of the added late fee and the new balance due.
G. If outstanding payments accumulate for three months, the family will be contacted by the finance committee chairman to schedule a meeting with the EMCHS board at its next regularly scheduled meeting. The family should be prepared to explain their financial situation to the board in closed session and they should come prepared with possible solutions for payment of outstanding tuition. The board will decide if the situation warrants continuation of school privileges.
H. Tuition obligations must be up to date in order for first or second semester exams to be taken. This means that all tuition must be paid for those paying in either one or two payments and that for those paying in 10 equal payments, all tuition up to January 1, 2011 and June 1, 2011 respectively.
I. If any parent must make a late payment it is their responsibility to notify the finance committee chairman when they will be late, the reason why and when they will pay. If this is not done, the late fee will be assessed.
J. If a church or other person will be assisting with tuition payments, it is your responsibility to make sure that they are aware of the payment schedule you have with EMCHS. Late fees will be added unless arrangements with the finance committee chairman have previously been made.
K. For the 2010-2011 school year, no cash payments will be accepted. Checks, money orders, or cashiers checks made out to the high school will be the only means of payment.
L. Any family with children attending EMCHS will receive a $500.00 reduction in their tuition for one year if they recruit a new family to send their child to EMCHS. This reduction would come at the end of the school year. The new family would have to note what family recruited them on the enrollment form in order for them to receive the money. If two or more families recruit the same family, the $500 would be split equally.
M. The first student of a new family to attend EMCHS will receive a $500.00 reduction in their tuition for one year. This will be given at the end of the school year and the student must attend for the full year.
* Student Removal: Parents/guardians who remove their children from our school before the end of the school or who put their children in a different school for the next year must have all outstanding debts paid in full to our school before their student’s records are forwarded.
